Northbrook, Glenview, Deerfield would all be top choices.

If you work in Northbrook, why live at all in dupage county? Northbrook, Glenview, Arlington Heights are all good.

Why does it matter if you are black? That statement seems a bit random.

Congrats on the move! We are very excited abouto our impending move too.
Not trying to be offensive in any way. : ) Just found it odd that someone would need to say their heritage in that situation. When I started the thread I didn't sign off with, "and I'm white".

You can thank Illegal immigration and lack of attention on the part of our government officials for the towns condition and reputation. The opportunity to make Addison a GREAT community was there for the taking 30 years ago, when it was a GOOD community. Instead, we opted for lower standards and soft stance on issues that affect housing prices and the ability to attract residents with higher moral and work standards. Too bad so few influence the outcome for so many. People need to pay more attention to elections and make sure they understand what the candidates are willing to go to the mat on. What is it in Addison? A new library right in the midst of the Internet explosion, when people now get their media at home on-line? That library was built with the tax money from those who work (jobs). There should be a rule - if you don't have a property tax bill in your hand, you therefore don't own and invest in this town, so you can't use the amenities. Plain and simple.
