Whats going on everybody, Ive been living in Romeoville for the past four years;
in Romeoville I never seen/had any issues with gangs where I was at or when I would go out.

I recently relocated within Romeoville, I was originally over in remington apts off of Weber rd over by the dominicks, culvers, and walgreens.. That area was nice and quiet, perfect no issues ever..

Im now a couple of blocks away from the vito martinez middle school, At first I didnt see anything that would cause concern, it seemed like a normal, small quiet neighborhood..

But recently someones garage was tagged up (spray painted) with the crown flipped upside down, the insane deuces symbol flipped upside down, and the fork flipped upside down.. Im younger and know what all of that means but now it has me concerned with the safety of the neighborhood..

The area is MOSTLY hispanic over here and a few of the people Ive seen have fit the gang profile..

Also too I seen by the park over there a suv pull up to a stop sign and some kid run up to it "talk" to the passenger then walk off..

Ill also add that yesterday there was an officer talking to the lady whose garage tagged up, so thats a plus

So someone please tell me, Am I over reacting or is this a shytty gang infested area

Yeah I've seen some really BIG LK taggings on garages in Romeoville as well. It's not a dangerous town, but it's seen some better days IMO

I think this is the future of suburbia to be honest, at least the far flung suburbs.

I lived in Remington apartments for two years. No problems. The other side of Romeoville attracts the skeezy types that you noticed only because it's older, cheaper and more run down. It's still not bad by any means. Tagging, while a nuisance, is much preferred to burglary, assault and homicide.
