I am looking for art instruction/classes for adults in the suburbs.

I know of one in the city but would like to find one closer to me. Looking for drawing or painting classes that are on weekends or at night. Many of the ones I am looking at seem to be geared mainly towards daytime (retirees?)

Does anyone have any experience with art instruction/an art school/park district classes in the burbs that you can recommend?

Thanks.

One of my neighbors is an instructor at College of DuPage. They have a wide range of evening and Saturday courses. https://myaccess.cod.edu:443/WebAdvi...STITUENCY=WBAP

Which burbs?

Evanston has good ones.

Art School | Evanston Art Center

The Adler Center in Libertyville is excellent too

I did find that dupage and naperville art leagues have some. Again, limited nighttime, mostly during the day. But it is a start.
Libertyville is too far. never thought of COD. I know they have a good art department - in fact years ago I almost went there but last minute decided on another art school.
Also the fine line in St. Charles has one or two nighttime classes (again mainly daytime). So I am slowly finding them. Thanks.
There is palette and chisel art league in the city, (again many classes during weekdays) but they do have Saturdays with certain things. but I wanted to try burbs first.
But for those looking for daytime classes - this thread will also be beneficial.

check the community classes at waubonsee community college. Not exactly sure if they have what you are looking for, but there might be something!

Lake Zurich (but it could be Long Grove) is where a friend of mine goes - I'll ask her.
