Default Two Questions

1) Are there any good town within 30 min of Chicago?
2) Are there any homes over 3400sq? My parents are willing to spend up to$750,000.

Chicago is a big place. Do you mean downtown Chicago? Do you mean commute by car or rapid transit? Are schools a factor in your decision?

OMG! Are you serious? $750,000 will get you a unbelievable house anywhere in the Chicago area, esp. with the horrid housing market. I live in Orland Park which is a fairly rich town and I can tell you that $750,000 will get you an amazing house in a subdivision known as Crystal Tree which is located at about 10400 W. 143rd Street. Crystal Tree is full of huge homes and is a gated community with golf courses and club house and all that. It is very prestigous and is about 40 minutes away from the loop by car or train (Metra). For that kind of money, you can get to live in some of the finest areas in Chicago! Wish I had that kind of money to be able to get myself something nice like that. Here is a link so you can see the type of homes around Crystal Tree and Orland Park in general. Orland Park Real Estate & Orland Park Homes for sale -We Give 25% CASH Back

Another town to check out which is also very prestigous is Palos Park. Homes in Palos Park rank up there among some of the nicest in Chicago as well and is kind of the alternative to living in towns such as Barrington Hills and Inverness. One day take a little Sunday drive through an area along 104th Avenue from 131st Street north to Route 83. The area is spread out where houses have nice sized yards and the schools are excellent. Here is a link for you to check out so you can see the kind of homes in Palos Park. Palos Park IL Real Estate, Palos Park Homes For Sale, 60464 MLS

Default Please Look At My 'op' On West Chicago

Dear Friend:

Steve - O and I have been talking about West Chicago in another 'op'. One fantastic area in West Chicago is known as "Indian Knoll" road. Although those particular houses probably sell around five - million dollars (ten acres of land?) - - on the west side of that area is another fantastic area of homes that probably would have about $750,000 price tags. So what you would be looking at is in between Indian Knoll Road and Prince Crossing Road. And also north of Geneva Road (a.k.a. Washington Street). It is a very woodsy and beautiful single family home area. As mentioned in the West Chicago 'OP' please note that this town is about 28 miles west of Chicago (city).
