So after a lot of research me and my fiancee are seriously leaning towards moving to Elgin, primarily since that's where I'll be working when we get to Illinois (Big Timber Rd) and we like the idea of being close. But what areas of the city are good to look at and are there any apartments that anyone can recommend? Thanks.

I should probably mention that we only need a 1 bedroom and our budget tops out at about 950 a month for rent. That's 1150 for a one bedroom which is crazy to me, lol.

I'd move to South Elgin if I were you. I haven't lived in the area in seven years, but I can't imagine Elgin has improved.

Everything I've heard is that there are perfectly decent areas. But looking for Elgin to be close to work as me and my fiancee will have only one car.

I'd be highly interested. If you could send me the details that would be great.

I'm going to be in Chicago from Thursday through next Wednesday trying to see some places so if its available to view, that would be wonderful.
