I am looking to move to a nice suburb like Oak Park or Forest park with tree lined streets. I would like to rent a house or townhouse. I am tired of apartment living (Thin walls, noisy neighbors, elevators, etc..) I want some breathing room between me & my neighbor. A single family rental home with a little yard would be very nice. My price range would be $750 month & up but not to high I can't afford a Highland park or Winnetka type rental.

$750 a month to rent a house or a townhouse?

You can't find that in Oak Park. Not even Forest Park. You can get a studio or 1 bedroom apartment for that.

May I ask, where are you living now where you get prices in that range? Then maybe others can recommend other areas...

I live in hyde park my rent is $700 month for a one bedroom central air, heat, dishwasher, security and laundry facilities. I am looking for a house rental of $750 & up, anything after $750 is fine I don't know the areas that is why I am asking for advice on the prices and location.

Need more info...

How many bedrooms?

As I see this quickly getting to $2,000 per month and up.

Have you checked out Craig's list?

Forest park will clearly be a lot cheaper. If you don't have kids so schools aren't an issue, I would recommend Forest Park. Look for something near Madison Ave., as lots to do around there. You can enjoy Oak park nearby, as well. In Forest Park you may find something small in the $1250-$1500 range, but you will need to spend more to get a decent selection.

It may be a little hard to find 1 bedroom houses. That's pretty small. Occasionally in Oak Park or River Forest you will see a detached "coach house" for rent, behind the main house. It's pretty rare, but I also thought that sounded like a nice idea. Sometimes, they can be smaller.
