My husband accepted a job in Chicago.. We will be relocating soon.. His office is going to be in Chicago downtown, Clark Street.. We are a family of four with a 9 yr old girl and 3 yr old boy.. Planning to rent an apartment/town house/single family home initially for a year.. We will be there for home finding trip next week.. Need help to shortlist areas..Good school districts.. He is planning to use Metra to commute to his office however would like to keep commute time within the range of 45 minutes from home to office.. I heard Metra has express trains during peak office hours.. Rent range < $1600 pm.. Areas with good extracurricular activities for kids.. Parks and recreation activities for kids.. We are Asian/Indian.. Indian grocery/eating joints within 10 miles radius from home.. Please help us shortlisting areas..
