I am moving to Skokie. Would appreciate feedbacks about affordable pre-schools in the area. How safe is skokie, and what are the rentals likely for 2BHK+1B apartments?

Skokie is VERY safe. Cops seem to out number the residents. So, you will be very safe there. A typical 2 bd apt will run you about $1000 a month. There are a ton of apts along Niles Center Rd. just north of Dempster.
