I'm trying to recall the name of a fancy ice cream joint somewhere in the Shamburg/Hoffman Estates area that was popular in the early 80's. I believe it was on Golf Road or maybe Higgins. The place was a full service restaurant, but specialized in fancy ice cream creations with umbrellas, sparklers, and the like. I've tried several search terms on google and can't find what I'm looking for, presumably because the it has long been closed. Anyone have any ideas?

I don't think it was Farrell's. Wasn't that inside Woodfield Mall? The place I'm thinking of was definitely a stand-alone place, and I'm pretty sure it was somewhat west of Woodfield.

I believe Sante's was on Higgins at possibly Grand Canyon in Hoffman Estates. It was a 24 hr restaurant

Yep, it was Sante, pronounced "SAHN-tay." I think it was even spelled with that little accent aigu over the e , as in "Santé".
