Sure I can take photos of Tangley Oaks the next time I go to Lake Bluff. Anthera, would like me to make a correction. The photo of the Corner Bakery is not actually within Renaissance Place. It is across the street, so it is actually independent, but it's still kinda a part of it.

Nysee,
Renissance Place is actually two blocks away. It contains SFA and the movie theatres. Fountain Square is accross from Corner Bakery. Last edited by Anthera; 06-06-2008 at 12:48 PM. Reason: typo |

I was just their doesn't Renaissance Place cross two blocks? Is the Pottery Barn part of Renaissance Place?

Pottery Barn is in RP, but Gap Kips, the Ross Drugstore and Walker Brothers are not. Those buildings have been in HP a long time, RP is new. Renaissance Place does not extend to Central. It stops a block before. RP is a separate development.

Wow, they did a good job of blending it in with the present streetscape.

You think so? RP is very uniform in construction, beigey stucco construction, uniform signage. The stores on Central are a hodge podge of different materials.
Maybe its just obvious to me because I remember what it looked like before they built it. Regardless, RP was a very, very smart move for HP. It really revitalized the downtown and made it a shopping destination. I think LF is more fun for shopping & lunch, but HP has more useful everyday stores. |

Wow, I was impressed by the west suburbs. But the North Shore is incredible! Nothing like the rest of the Midwest..except for maybe parts of West County in St. Louis. Could someone take pics of Lincolnshire please?

Lincolnshire is hard to photo. Too many subdivisions. I might be able to, if I have time. I am able to photo the North Shore because I live in a North Shore community. I am going to upload more pictures of Evanston and an interior photo of Roycemore School. The North Shore is incredible, Sheridan Road is a very long road almost completely lined with mansions. The wealth here is highly concentrated over a large area unlike the western suburbs where you have Glen Ellyn next to Lombard, etc.

I would be interested to see Lincolnshire. I never go there per se, but drive by all the time.
