Thanks Rudy! But, like all places, there are many "ugly" spots too. Im just very blessed that I live in the far western burbs where things are kept immaculately clean, and most of the towns are very attractive. There are also some nice south burbs (Orland Park), wonderful inner burbs (ie Oak Park), and the ever-gorgeous north shore burbs (ie Winnetka, Lake Forest, etc). Make sure you really explore the area before you settle on a place. The area is HUGE (think PHX-sized spread, but with 3 times the people), so dont be quick to pick a suburb, there is always somewhere else that will attract you, that might be more convenient to you and your parents.

Good luck!

60 minutes,

I would recommend taking pictures of:

Wilmette (Michigan Avenue, Chestnut Avenue, Greenwood Avenue, Washington Street)

Kenilworth (Kenilworth Avenue, Oxford Road, Raleigh Road, Melrose Avenue)

Winnetka (Tower Road, Pine Street, Chatfield Road, Sumac Lane, Pine Tree Lane, Hibbard Road)

Glencoe (Bluff Street, Valley Road, Skokie Ridge Drive, Oak Ridge Drive, Longmeadow Drive, Lakewood Drive, Park Avenue, Hazel Avenue, Vernon Avenue, Franklin Road, Sylvan Road, Greenwood Avenue, Greenleaf Avenue)

Highland Park (Point Lane, Linden Avenue, Waverly Road)

Lake Forest (Westminster, Lake Road, Green Bay Road)

Lake Bluff (Blodgett Street, Evanston Street)

Went to the Cougars game on Saturday. Its amazing how well they do, they fill almost all the seats and lawn seats as well. Then the outfield sections (ie Leinenkugel Lodge) also are filled. Make sure you go on a designated Fireworks Night, its a blast!

We ate at Billy's Roadhouse in St. Charles on Sunday. Not too bad of a place!

We then spent a few hours sauntering around Geneva. Such a beautiful place...

This building is in St. Charles, but still nice looking:
