Dear Friends:
I am not a teacher but my son is taking graduation classes at NIU to become a geology teacher. In the past, I have noticed that rural farm kids are usually taught much better by their parents. The family kids have responsibilites for the livestock, family owned property, etc. So they appear to be better 'brought up'.
During my trips between my home (Wheaton, IL) and my son's home (Cortland, IL) I frequently pass the Kaneville High School. And that has to be a high school full of farm kids. As an FYI, Kaneville High School is about two or three miles south of Maple Park, Illinois and the school is right on Kessinger Road. So hopefully, I have made a good suggestion to everyone looking for a high school teaching position - - if one is available out there.
Best Regards,
Carter Glass
