Hi people,
Is there such a thing as City of Aurora parking permit. I commute to Downtown from Route 59 station. I take the 7:52 Inbound and parking is very much full by 7:20. Even if there are any left it is a mad rush. There is a AAA parking lot opposite to the Rt 59 station. There are signs 'City of Aurora Pakring permit only'. I have asked people about this and no one seem to know of such a thing. All they say is parking in city of Aurora is free. Do somebody know of this and if yes, where can I get it. If not do anybody know if I can get a AAA parkign permit??? Please let me know ..thanks

I think what it means is that parking is for city employees only, and that said employees need to display a parking permit to park there much in the way some private companies issue parking permits to employees for their own lots.

On the north side parking lot (Naperville) I find there's always some non-permit parking available though you may have to walk from the far corner of the lot. There's also a small commuting lot behind Starbucks that's $25 a month, but again, it's at the far corner. I believe the wait for a monthly permit is at least several years om both the Aurora and Naperville sides.
