Question Stanhope Square in Willowbrook

Hello all:

I'm considering purchasing a condo in the Stanhope Square complex, which is located near the corner of IL 83 (Kingery Highway) and 63rd St. in Willowbrook.

Does anyone here live in Stanhope Square or know anyone who does? If so, how has the ownership experience been? How quiet are the units, both in terms of soundproofing/construction quality and the neighbors themselves? Is it overall a good place to live or is there any potential for buyer's remorse? Any other recommendations/cautions regarding Stanhope Square?

Thanks in advance for any feedback you can offer...

Default Wondering

Hi -

I was wondering if you decided to move into Stanhope and if so, if you can now provide me the same kind of information you were looking for back in July. ;-)

Thanks!

I tend to encourage folks considering a purchase of a condo / townhome to give serious consideration to their longer term needs -- for an awful lot of people it probably makes more sense to rent instead of own something that they so little control over the broad shifts in such developments.

That being said the Stanhope Square development is well located near a few nicer areas, is convenient to a Whole Foods as well as Dominicks and other shops, a few nicer heath /fitness facilities and generally well located for folks with jobs in the broader Oak Brook / eastern DuPage Co area...

Any real estate purchase has the potential for "buyers remorse" but it is unlikely that the townhomes at Stanhope Square are any "riskier" than other developments of similar age / size...
