Hi,
I have read a few of the threads refering to IL taxes and reasons why they are so high. Looking at some numbers on a website for taxes on the three towns shown in the thread title: Geneva, St. Charles, Batavia; I'm confused at which one would be the better of the three as far as location vs. real estate vs. property taxes. It might be St. Charles with the lower taxes of the three which for some reason suprises me. I thought it would be Geneva. I would prefer to look at places to live in Geneva, but I'm just weighing out the pros and cons. Thanks for your imput!!! ![]() |

To check the rates of specific properties check the kane county website:
http://www.countyofkane.org/Pages/TaxInformation.aspx They have the info here but you have to know specific properties addresses. Also check the individual town websites. I can't imagine they are all that much different. Geneva has more malls and stuff though, so that might lower the taxes a little for you. |
