Does anyone know of a good bar to go to this weekend? I am looking for a fun place to go to that isn't for barely 21 crowd. We are hoping to find a place where they play 80s and 90's music or at least a mix of something besides the typical club noise. Basically something for the over thirty-(ish)
crowd who still love to go and dance and have fun! We are hoping to stay in the northwest suburbs but are willing to go into the city if it is worth it. Any help as always is greatly appreciated! |

Are you looking to party in the burbs or the city? I live out in the burbs and have heard a lot of good things about Bar Louie located at 14400 S. La Grange Road in Orland Park. My neighbors go there all the time and they are in their 30s. Another bar out here that everyone seems to congregate at is Fat Sams located at 15800 S. La Grange Rd. The place is kind of a dive to look at, but seems to pack em in every Friday and Sat. night. Another Orland bar if you are coming out here, is Morgans located off I-80 and La Grange Road. It is actually this HUGE bar attached to the Thunder Bowl bowling alley and I've heard that they are doing all kinds of bowl in the dark types of things for Halloween.
Now I know of another place and this may be more of a younger crowd, but I would recommend 115 Bourbon Street. That bar is more like a mini city inside. It is located on 115th and Kedzie in Merrionette Park. Admin is usually like $5, but there are so many people in there that it is hard to say there is any certain age bracket that is soley there. B.S. has something like 8 different rooms you can go into and each one is the size of a huge bar alone, plus there is a semi outdoor area as well to go smoke/enjoy our warm fall and there is a restaurant there as well. Lastly I would check out North Beach in Lombard off Butterfield Rd. That is a happening place as well. |

If you're willing to make the trek into the city, Martini Park is a fun time. It's a mostly 30 something plus crowd and has tasty food and drinks without the attitude.
