I have moved from India to Chicago and am looking for reviews on Villa park. It is near to my work location and schools. I have a kid of 5years. I found that Stevenson elementary school is just 5 min walk from the residence.

Can anyone provide any reviews if Villa park is a good and decent suburb to settle with?

Much appreciated. Thanks

Vila Park has a mix of housing options. It is mostly safe but it is not as "upscale" as some of its neighbors. If you can find a similar house in a town like Elmhurst or even Lombard you might want to also consider those areas. Over the years there has been tension in the high school district becuase the Willowbrook High campus in Villa Park is considerably nicer than the Addison Trail High campus in Addison...

Personally I would look elsewhere as Chet says. I have family who have lived in Villa Park for years but I think there are nicer communities in Dupage county. I prefer Elmhurst or Downers Grove and other communities in Dupage.
