As we don't have much in the way of restaurants here in sugar grove, I would still like to recommend them. Fireside Grille, (rt 47 and cross st) is really good. they are a little upscale casual. Not really family dining. they have great sandwiches, salads and their ribs are excellent. tuesday night is their rib night. Also, a newer restaurant is Open Range Grill at Bliss Creek Golf Course. their menu items are of a southwest nature. They also have some excellent bbq ribs. They recently added a pizza oven and have some great pizzas on their menu. very casual atmosphere, many tvs to catch a game. I was recently there on a tuesday evening and beers were only a buck(miller lite, bud light).
If you are in the far west suburbs, would be worth a stop!

Haven't seen it posted yet - Uncle Bub's BBQ on S. Cass, between 55th St. & downtown Westmont.
Also, assuming it's not just coincidence - Fireside Grille is also a national chain, we have one here in Idaho Falls, ID.

I haven't seen this one- Javier's in Downtown Arlington Heights-- formerly La Chicanita. Same owner, they just rebranded and completley renovated! I've been going with my family for as long as I can remember! Great food, Margs etc!!

It's just coincidence. There are a thousand places named with some variation of Fireside Grill(e), independent of each other.

It is not a chain. this is a locally, owned restaurant by a couple of brothers.

Angelino's for Italian in Mokena on 191st and 88th ave. I had homemade lobster ravioli there that were awesome. Great homemade soups and Italian dishes.

OK all you folks out in the Fox Valley/Tri-Cities area... for about 2 or 3 years there was a barbecue place right next to (or maybe in the same space as) what is now Thai Zie in St. Charles, right next to what used to be the Colonial ice cream shop behind the Filling Station and by the VFW and all that... does anyone remember the name of the place?

I can't believe nobody mentioned Hackney's which has 6 locations but I prefer the one on Harms road in Glenview. Their amazing burgers on dark rye and world famous onion loafs. Michael's in Highland Park for a superb dog or polish and fries, and my old favorite was a Kosher corned beef on rye and a chocolate phosphate at Max's Deli in Highland Park. OH well.......my mouth is watering as we speak...
