Ooooh, speaking of Geneva, I missed a couple of great places there: first, The Inglenook, a very small buffet-style restaurant (they operate out of what is basically a 150-year-old house) that makes everything from scratch based on Amish recipes. They do breakfast and lunch only (last guest through the door at 2:30). They're on 5th street just north of State.
Literally right around the corner from Inglenook is a wonderful Italian joint called Villa Verone. They also operate out of an historic home, a limestone house built around 1850. They have a lovely patio out front for summer dining, and the setting feels more like you're eating in a home in Tuscany instead of a purpose-built restaurant. And speaking of Richmond, Don't pass up J.W. Platek's. The only thing keeping it from being the perfect Wisconsin supper club is that it's 3 miles too far south. A slightly up-market atmosphere, very good steaks, well-prepared classic American cuisine, and some very good house-made beers. |

Is that the same Capri that is in Berwyn? Good food there, if it is still around. Haven't been there in a few years.

I'm not sure a national chain restaurant counts as a "hidden restaurant."

I don't know if they have a Berywn location, I've only been to the one in Palos Heights. They have the best Italian food, though!
