Capone's is a snap to find. Of course, I used to live right down by it, and I still occasionally go zooming around that riverfront drive in my car when I'm out that way...

I live right by capone's hideaway in unincorporated st. charles township. It is just tricky finding it in the dark, since the signs for it are small, and tagged on trees, in a neighborhood, around some winding streets. I don't know how many people I have given directions to, since I am a resident.
Actually, we have never eaten there. Went there once, on a Sunday, and was told it would be a 2 hour wait. Never got around to going back. Also, it is dress up, I was told they wouldn't let us in if we were wearing gym shoes and you had to have a collared shirt. Don't know if it is still like this.

Dress up ? thats news to me, never once dressed up to go there. It is tricky finding it in the dark and we learned to go early. Its ok, I thought it pretty dated and tacky and I have had much better food,,but the folks like it so we take gramps and gram there.

Yeah, we'll see about that come January.
Speaking of which, what the hell are cigar bars and hookah bars supposed to do?

If it a place that derives most of its sales from packaged tobacco, I believe smoking will be allowed. If the store sells alcohol and/or food too I think it cannot allow smoking. What fun is smoking without alcohol? lol
The "smoking lounges" I am not sure about.
All I know is the city, counties, and state are going to lose even more revenue because of this.

There is a hookah bar and restaurant - serves middle eastern food (falafel) as well as regular sandwiches, in west chicago on 59 in a strip mall just north of north avenue - on the west side of 59. Called Oasis. Next time I am in there, I will ask if the smoking ban will affect them.

White Fence Farm on Joliet Road south of I-55 before you get to RT 53 (Romeoville area).
MOST AWESOME fried chicken! Family style comes with plates of sides (pickled beets, cottage cheese, corn fritters, bean salad, french fries, etc.) and a HUGE plate of fried chicken.
There are many other things on the menu, but we love the chicken best.
The restaurant itself is a sight to behold. It had added rooms over the years, and each room is unique in its decor. Lots of antiques to check out. Even a small zoo in the back of the restaurant.
Its only open about March through November, so if you haven't been there, you'll have to wait until spring.
