Yeh, looks like there used to be one in Algonquin. But it's a goner now. (No big loss.)

Has anyone mentioned Mr. Beef in St. Charles (on 64 just east of Randall on the south side of the street)? If not, Ill nominate them. They have some of the best gyros Ive ever had.

The Sullivan's web site shows that there is one at 415 Dearborn...so I don't think the Naperville location is the only one in the area...
But I LOVE their signature martini "the knockout".

someone mentioned the Urban Grill in Geneva. I went there this weekend, very good food and good atmosphere - not too big. I read online somewhere that FoxFire in Geneva was closed. We drove past it and it appeared alive and well. Happy eating this holiday season!

Good to hear! Ive been eyeing the Urban Grill, looks pretty neat and I know someone who ate there and loved it. And yes, Foxfire is still open, I went by it on Friday night and it was packed.

Genoa Pizza in Geneva, Kathy's Diner in Batavia, Seven Dwarfs in Wheaton. My favorites. I avoid chain restaurants whenever possible, which is always.

For good icecream and greasy burgers Alice's on Rt. 47 in Elburn is yummy for those traveling out that way. A great place to stop in the summer for something quick. She is only open in the warm weather months, I think it is April to October.
