I hope it's not too late to offer some advice. I agree with the posters who recommend Highland Park. I have lived on the North SHore for 3 years now and HP is one of my favorite places. Schools are great, good shopping, wonderful parks and recreation. Nice people too. It's got good bars and restaurants and even respectable live theater.
On the other hand, if your wife is interested in connecting with other Brits there are more than a few in the Winnetka/Kenilworth area and we seem to be drawing new ones all the time. All the same, if I were in your shoes it would be HP all the way. Good luck. ![]() |
