Default Moving to Chicago

Hi everyone, I am little at a loss. I am in the first stage of my move to Chicago. My first priority would be to find a job. I already have a place to stay once that happens. Any ideas out there? I have been looking in the newspapers and local job search sites. Nothing yet. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Are you looking in a particular field? What town will you be living? The commutes can be long here, so you want to look in a certain radius of where you will live. Have you listed resumes on Monster or other listing sites? That can open some doors. If you are a college graduate, many alumni associations have branches in the Chicago area. That is a great way to network. After you answer the above questions, you will probably get more specific advice.
