Lots of places to research... I'm contemplating a job change from dull Chandler, Arizona to Lake Forest.

If you can handle the winter weather, you'll find the wealthy North Shore suburbs to be Heaven compared to Chandler. Lush, green, views of Lake Michigan, cool summers, etc.
Have you visited the area yet? If not, I highly recommend doing so, it might not be your cup of tea, especially in winter when its below freezing quite often.

I'm doing a trip out there in a couple weeks. I lived in E. Ohio and SE Michigan for about 20 years, lived in Chicago (Lincoln Park) for a little while in my 20s, so I definitely know the climate. Actually prefer it to Arizona, now that I've been through a couple AZ summers.

An extremely old and tired generalizarion of a beautiful area.
I am sure there are alot of hard working, kind, and generous people in all suburbs, along with the snobs. You can choose your friends.
This type of generalizing does not help those asking relocation questions.
