I am moving to Chicago in January. I want to live in a nice suburb close to Ohare Airport (Franklin Park).....can anyone help me and tell me the closes suburb near Franklin Park/Ohare Airport, where the crime rate is low and it is a desireable area?
Thank you! |

The only suburb I have personal experience with is Park Ridge. It is, I believe, slightly more expensive, but is close to O'Hare, but far enough away not to have too much commercial/industrial spread. Rosemont is also close, but you'll have convention halls for neighbors. Bensonville is close, but has many warehouses and such.
Are there certain things you're looking for? Is it just a short commute to O'Hare, or are there other things? (Remember, O'Hare is one of the busiest airports in the world, and the noise will remind you of that.) |

We really need more info to help you. Are you renting or buying? Do you have children? How close do you want to be to O'Hare? There are vastly different communities surrounding O'Hare.
