Default MMR Vaccine seperated.

We just moved from CO to IL-Hawthorn Woods area. I am in desperate need to find a pediatrician in the area that will give my child the mmr vaccine in seperate doses. I have called many dr's and none of them do this. In CO, my pediatrician had no problem with it and was even willing to delay the vaccine if we wanted. If anyone knows of a pediatrician that will do this I would GREATLY appreciate thier contact info. I am willing to look outside the area and have even thought about flying back to CO for these immunizations but would prefer not to. HELP!

Sorry to hear that you're having a hard time getting the vaccine schedule you'd like to have. Just keep calling around, and you'll find someone locally. We go to Evanston pediatrics, right across the street from Evanston Hospital on Central Street. Call them to find out if they'll separate the doses for you. One of my neighbors delayed all of her boys' vaccines, but I'm not sure which doc she used. So, it's done around here too! Good luck.

Did you check my thread out? There are some pretty good leads there! Good luck. I'm STILL working on it myself. Thankfully my daughter is 8 months and the clock has alot of ticking left!

Just curious... What is the rationale behind this? Is it related to autism worries?

not just autism...there's very strange chemicals not only in the water we drink but in these vaccinations. for example, what is the reasoning of mercury being introduced to our most precious of beings?

i don't by that polio bs...just more fear tactics from the overbearing government.

Most of the Chicago practices will do it. I delayed MMR until 22 months. All that said, I think polio is extremely scary disease and that is one vax a child should get. Also, thimerosal (mercury) hasn't been in vax since 2002. Any doc that still has thimerosal laden vaccines doesn't have a busy practice and you shouldn't go that practice. The exception is flu.

Please, anyone interested in spreading out vaccines and being ultra conservative in what we inject into our babies bodies must see Dr. Minkus at the North Shore Medical. A little less than a year ago I did a ton of research into this very same topic and was totally freaked out by all of these wild vaccines and felt like a victim every time I left the doctor's office because I had no control over how my daughter was being treated. Most doctors do not let us advocate for our children and do as we wish.

Dr. Minkus is amazing, for the first time I found a doctor that I trust completely and now I don't need to spend countless hours researching and reading about the vaccines and possible side affects, I don't need to worry about these poison cocktails anymore...I just trust him. The thing is, he tells me exactly what the vaccines are for and I ask him "would you inject your child with this" and he gives me an honest answer. He told me that most of the vaccines that my daughter had up to about a year old were basically worthless, though caught one that she had not had and really needed; we've been seeing him for about a year.

I highly recommend him. I found his name after checking around Evanston; a lot of mom's around here see him and recommend him. He's sort of known for being a bit on the "alternative" side.

Good luck to all of you on this journey.

In other words, you found a doctor who tells you what you want to hear.
