Is it the same.

Brenty, I think the answer to your question got lost somewhere in a conversation that AHAVA, who lives in Western Springs (and from what I've read in different posts tries to work this fact into almost every post she writes in, because I'm guessing she's a spokeperson for the WS chamber of Commerce), with someone else from WS. AHAVA, sorry, not to be blunt, but its not all about WS all the time in every post, and you ought to keep the cheerleading for your town limited to posts that are about WS, and not other towns.
As I recall this post was about whether there are better or worse parts of Hinsdale. The answer is yes. If you divide Hinsdale into four parts, the most desirable area is the Southeast Section ( where many newer homes are valued at around $5 million, with one on the market right now for $12.8 million). Then, it would be, as far as niceness, the Northwest section located around Burns field and Monroe school, where most new construction is in the $2.5 to $3.5 million catagory (some more, some less); then around Madison school in the southwest section, and then the northeast section near the tollway, in order of desireability.
Hinsdale overall is very nice, but there are still pockets which have not been completely redeveloped, and there are old houses and 50's ranches,
(especially in the area north of Hinsdale Hospital along the tollway, and some in the southwest section) which are in the 4-600k range (cheap for Hinsdale and some are pretty modest to look at). Hinsdale is actually somewhat diverse because it is older and still has older residents living in homes that were built before the teardown trend made real estate prices skyrocket. Those that believe all of Hinsdale is elite and snobby do not really know the town, because there are noticable differences between the best and more modest parts of town. There are all types of people with a greater disparity in income, therefore, who live in the Hinsdale, maybe moreso than most towns, but not unlike the north shore. But slowly, with each teardown, the town has become more homogeneous, and even in the most modest parts of town there are newer $1.5 million houses standing next to 1100 square foot ranches. Hopefully this helps you out.
