I have a wood-burning fireplace (yay!) and I love nothing more than a warm toasty fire "when the weather outside is frightful" but all the wood I buy (from Jewel, Home Depot and Target) is crap. It's wither wet or new and not seasoned properly. Anyone have any suggestions as to where to find wood that will actually burn?

It's been years ... but the last time we got a "chord" -- probably 5 yrs ago, we got it delivered from a place on the corner of North Ave [Rte 64] and Swift Rd.
That's 1 block west of 355 exchange. it was so long ago, i have no idea what it cost ... but it was probably reasonable, since DH went ahead with the purchase. I'd probably get the phone book out too. |
