Want to move from city to northwest suburbs. Looking at Arlington Heights because of it's proximity to the city, good schools, nice area. But not sure if our budget is enough for living there..?

Yes if you buy a modest house.

Thanks. Actually, we are looking at townhouses. Can I get a good one for around $250.000? Or should I look at other suburbs, like Palatine, Mount Prospect, Prospect Heights. ..

That I don't know. I like Arlington Heights, it has a nice downtown area. I don't live there I just know it from visiting. The Mt. Prospect schools are supposed to be good. If you expand where you are looking you will increase the selection of places to live.

You'll be able to get a townhome for between under 2000 sq ft- under 1500 sq ft in AH, but Palatine will be less expensive. Look in AH, Palatine, Prospect Heights, and Mt. Prospect and don't limit your search to just one town.
