No there are not many families living in the condos in either Morton Grove, Evanston, or Wheeling. Mostly older retirees, empty nesters, or young proffesionals. Evanston is a totally different market than Morton Grove or Wheeling. Those suburbs are geared towards a middle class buyer, whereas Evanston is geared to an affluent buyer. A nice condo in Evanston will cost you upwards of $500,000. While Morton Grove and Wheeling will be around $275,000 to $300,000. Evanston is full of young families though. If you would look for a single family or townhouse in an Evanston neighborhood you might find some young families. Particularly in the Northwest, Urban Chic, and Greenleaf Neighborhoods.

Here are some examples:

Northwest Evanston
Condo/Townhouse/Co-Op - 1833 LINCOLN Unit: 1833, EVANSTON, IL, 60201 - Realtor.com

Wesley Conference Neighborhood Homes
Single Family Home - 550 WESLEY AVE, EVANSTON, IL, 60202 - Realtor.com

Greenleaf Neighborhood
Condo/Townhouse/Co-Op - 1414 FLORENCE AVE Unit: 1414, EVANSTON, IL, 60201 - Realtor.com

Urban Chic Neighborhood
Single Family Home - 1136 SHERMAN, EVANSTON, IL, 60202 - Realtor.com
