Is that the place with the 15-foot-tall wooden dude sitting in a chair with a musket in his lap?

I love Crate and Barrel, and they are of a high quality and are reasonably priced. I purchased three pieces- a sofa, chair and chaise for just over $3000, and now my room looks like a magazine

Ive seen that thing several times, didnt know it ws a furniture store though. Is that the place by the western store?
There is also a Field furniture store near Oak Brook too, off of 56 I think. HUGE place with nice stuff, as well as one near Fox Valley Mall on 59.

Western store is gone - blanchards moved to hampshire I think. The owners sold their property to developers and it is now "saddle ridge" high end homes and townhomes. But the "wooden dude" is still there. Nice furniture. Also unfinished if you are into refinishing or painting up your own. Not too many unfinished furniture is available these days.
Bought our bedroom set and a nice solid oak hall tree there.

"High-end townhomes" in Valley View. What a strange thought.

Well it's a strange thing about Valley View. The well-heeled and the one-step-above-trailer-trash live practically side by side. What mainly draws the well-heeled are the nice, densely wooded lots; that's what makes living among the Bubbas worthwhile. "Upscale Townhomes" in Valley View seems to have none of the upside of living/building/buying there for either group (setting for the former, affordability for the latter).

You nailed it. There are many nice homes down there, but there are some trailers/homes that youd expect to find in backwoods Arkansas or something.

there is an outlet at Army Trail and Bloomingdale Rds. Is it the John M Smith... you know the ones,,, the 3 brothers in those goofy commercials.
Where Leaps and Bounds used to be. same corner as Bakers Square.
It used to be the Wicks Outlet, before they moved back to Itasca.
Living in Bloomingdale... you will have a lot of options very near by.... within 5-10 min.
OH congrats on deciding on Bloomingdale...
