Are you looking to rent or buy?

How much can you pay?

Do you have or plan to have children?

Default moving to Lake Co

We plan to buy but are not adverse to renting. Have grown kids - one might come with us. Would like area with access to running trails, cultural events (theater), quilting, health club. Price range 250 -350K.
Thanks

Given you are new to the area and are not opposed to renting, I would rent first and make a decision to buy once you are comfortable with an area.

Evanston has plenty of rentals and all that you seek. It's a good base for the entire Northshore and adjacent communities.

It also gives you time to secure a job and use that as well as your husband's job to determine commute times.
