IMNTBMFHO, you should think of the intermediate and long term financial consequences of moving into Aurora.
The city is in dire pension related shape and there will be large property tax increases coming down the pike. They already have the highest sales tax of surrounding communities, on top of very high water and sewer rates. They also have high permit and inspection fees. In other words they have less leeway in terms of raising badly needed revenue compared to the surrounding communities. Ergo they will raise the property taxes. The city's long term pension obligations are enormous(It is consider at extreme risk by ILPolicy Institute

I would think twice about living in IL anywhere, but especially Aurora. It is already a tax nightmare and it is only going to get worse - much worse.
