we had our basement done by the Pink panther people a couple years ago! it was more than drywall, but not the 41,000that was mentioned. it really is a nice product. we live in an area where there was the potential for flooding(if the sumppump fails) and the whole thing really does snap out. the fabric panels are great and the insulation factor that they provide is excellent. the basement doesn't even feel or smell like a basement.

I am considering moving to the western burbs and I have been looking at Rite Way Custom Homes. They offer basement finishing and remodeling in the western suburbs. The website is Glen Ellyn's Rite-Way Custom Homes, Glen Ellyn and Wheaton Custom New Home Construction. Check It Out!

Talking Basement finishing

Without hesitation I would call Kerry Ewald. Go online to the Illinois BBB, go under General Contractors - Remodeling and you'll find his web site and phone #. I was going to go to work for him but decided to move back to Colorado instead. Great guy, quality work, ethical and reasonable.

Hi Giazma.. I hope I can help and I pray that offering our services is allowed as this is my first time on this site. I just started a home remodeling business in November of last year (BTW-bad time to start any business!). We are very small and are in the Joliet area. If you are still interested, I would be happy to send my husband out to you for a free quote.

Default HELP NEEDED in Joliet

Hi - I'm another in Joliet that is in sore need of basement finishing help. I've had Owens Corning and Euro-Tech out to quote a price on my 400sqft basement and they both came back at over $55 a square foot. This feels like a ridiculous price to pay when you consider that Im not getting a bathroom out of this, and it will ultimately be one big room.

Am I crazy or is this price reasonable? Im to the point where I'm willing to consider drywall....

GEEZ -- $22,000 dollars is a lot to sink into one big room. I've seen the Owens-COrning products and they are nice, but you could certainly get a much bigger bang out of simply putting up framing, doing drywall, and then painting. The money you save could easily go toward a muliple battery backup sump system and/or automatic back-up generator...

Many good general contractors would happily do this work for about half of your lowest quote...
