Relocating to Chicago (Elmhurst, Bensenville, Northlake: apartments, to rent, living in)

Hello fellow helpers,

I am relocating to Chicago from central wisconsin and I would like if there are any help that I can get as far as places to rent from, traffic.
My job is located in Elmhurst/northlake area and because my wife doesn't drive yet I need a place where she can easily ride the bus or pace.
I am also thinking about living in Willowbrook where the rents are more affordable and the commute time to my job is about 30mn going on 83.
How is the traffic on that road early in the morning?

83 is pretty rotten northbound in the mornings right near 55, but gets less heavy as you head north. I would probably look for a place a little further north if you can afford it, but if you can't it's not a bad area and the commute certainly won't kill you.

Sorry, didn't mean to send those with an explanation. The top one is in Bensenville off of York Rd.(which has PACE service) and about 10-15 minutes from Northlake.

The second is in Elmhurst on Lake St. also near York.

Not sure of your price range, but there are many options within the suburbs. 83 from Willowbrook would take you awhile though, especially during rush hour and of course snowy days like today. Check the PACE routes and compare with apartment searches.
