Moving to the area after the holidays. Looking for reasonably priced but safe apartment/condo/townhouse complex. Needs to be dog friendly and have washer and dryer. Not from the area but would be interested in some leads. Thanks

What is reasonably priced? Many townhouses do not allow fences so consider that. Most will have a washer and dryer.

Where is work? Will you be commuting by car or transit? What's your budget? Wheaton and Naperville combine for over 50 square miles and 200,000 residents. It's a large area. Budget and commute considerations should help narrow your search.

I'd like to stick around $1200 maybe $1300. Won't be using transit for work, I will be using my car. Safety is important but I'd like a nice dog friendly area too. Thanks

I lived here for a few months in 2003 and thought it was pretty nice. We had 2 small dogs at the time. No fence so you had to walk the dog but there are tons of forest preserve trails in the area as well as a decent sized field in the complex.

Both of those suburbs are very safe. In fact, it would be difficult to find unsafe spots in either of those towns. The bigger challenge will be your budget.
