Default Are there affordable apartments in Evanston?

HI. We will bemoving fromCosta Rica to the Chicago area in July. We will most likely look for an apartment in north Chicago, but my mother lives in Evanston. (I grew up there too -went to Haven and ETHS.) However, I have not lived inthe US for 10 years and I was wonderingif anyone knows if there are any apartments that are affordable in the Evanston area? Any advice?

Yes- Evanston has affordable apartments. Apartments are available all throughout the city. I would pick up a Pioneer Press paper and start looking at whats available. Generally apartments will be more expensive north (Central Ave.) and less so as you move south. In the late 90's I lived in Evanston post-college for 3 years and found a 1 bedroom apartment on the top floor of a coverted house in the Sherman/Main st. area for about $550/month and it was a quality place. Good luck to you.....
