I have to slightly disagree, the hispanic population is increasing in the South Suburban region, its not so black and white. In general, most of the suburbs east of I-57 are over 50% black and west of 1-57 is largely white. There are exceptions like Blue Island, Chicago Heights, and Posen that have large Hispanic( mostly Mexican) population.
Homewood Schools (District 153) are at about 50% Caucasian.

Hi. So, you want the south burbs, eh? See my list and simple reasoning below.
Bedford Park (Lots of trees, manufacturing, natural beauty like praries, beautiful residential area, wonderful police force, and sweet fire department. Schools however are not that great. You'll see why.)
Justice (Diverse, really beautiful, and an extension of Hickory Hills.)
Willow Springs (Natural beauty, lovely architecture, really quiet other than the train tracks.)
Hickory Hills (My hometown, high quality life, really great police force, diversity, and the best neighbors I could have. Apartments do have their share of idiots though.)
Palos (any of the towns. They are awesome! The police and fire districts are grandstanding!)
Orland Park (Despite the traffic, excellent schools and people are there).
New Lenox or points south are beautiful too.
*As always, refrain from entering the area east of 57, with the exception of Homewood/Flossmoor. You'll find out why. Happy moving and enjoy our south suburbs.

OK

Try looking at Google Maps and find the beautiful prairies around Bedford Park!

As for Justice, the area north of Archer is nice, but really beautiful? Have you ever been to Beverly, LaGrange, Hinsdale, etc.?

As for the area south of 79th St., it's just small, faded ranches, a run down trailer park, and lots of apartments.

Hard to find but those prairies would be in the huge, industrial area. That would located between 67th, 75th, roughly Cicero, and Sayre. That's a general estimate. Anyway, that area has warehouses, a big train yard, and remains of old scenery (prior to the construction of the warehouses).

I could agree that north of Archer is nice. As for south of 79th, I thought about it and I agree that it's not that great. Yes, there is a run down trailer park. That is roughly located around 80th and Roberts Road. Yes, there are smaller homes throughout.

Did you know this, there is some light industry between 83rd, 81st, 88th Avenue, and the Toll Road?

There are small patches of open space remaining amidst the industrial buildings, but it is hardly a place to move to for natural beauty.

You're right about that. Not much natural beauty. I was probably thinking that for whatever reason.

LMFAO! I was kinda thinking the same thing. I was like, "what part of Bedford Park is all beautiful prairies?" More like burned out old factories, shipping warehouses, and small manufacturing and abandoned buildings where businesses have fled the US for China and Mexico. Sure there is some industry left there, but GOD what a sesspool and the area even smells like one. Not that I go around sniffing sesspools often, but...

I've been through there very little in recent years and yes you are totally right about that. Thank Reagan, Bush, Nixon, and our current president for that. If it weren't for their "superior" tactics and policies, that area of Bedford would have been lovely. Politics don't much of a place on this forum but the whole "overseas" job shifting reminds us of that. Okay, so enough talk about this topic. Let's get back to discussing the region of the south suburbs.
