Did the kids from libertyville bully you when you were younger? That's like saying most homes in Deerfield back to busy lake cook Rd. Get a grip

This is not really accurate. Plenty of Libertyville's homes are located east of town and surrounding the town (including west & south, yes). The core area of town is pretty darn walkable for a distant suburb.

Resorting to personal insults. Pathetic. And Deerfield is not walkable from Lake Cook rd. Not sure if your point.

I don't disagree with you but the poster I was replying to insinuated the majority of town is walkable and that is simply note true. Within a half mile or so yes...but majority of Libertyville is not a half mile from downtown.

True, I think the same can be said about Deerfield though too. The majority of its subdivisions are past the half mile radius of town. I'd say that Highland Park is the more walkable neighboring suburb compared to Deerfield.

And the nice thing about Highland Park is that you have two "downtown areas" if you count Ravinia. Agree with you on this.

My point is you said a majority of homes in libertyville back to car dealerships. That's similar as to saying most homes in Deerfield back to lake cook. Both are false.

I don't think Deerfield has a traditional downtown area to start with. Highland park definitely does and a great village, but they have a more diverse population and the schools many times don't score as high.

There was a more traditional downtown area until the town idiots decided to bulldoze much of it circa 1998.

Of course since all the schools serve primarily affluent areas with families in mostly professional careers all are essentially in the same desirable tier.
Except US News doesn't rank by success, but by enrolling in a course labeled "AP"
