Looking for a Good Hospital (Oak Lawn, Tinley Park: credit, job, hospitals)

Looking for a good hospital to work at in the Western and Southern Suburbs. One that I would be willing to bring my own family too, if I had too! Also, is there any that should just be avoided at all costs?

What suburbs exactly are you interested in? How far south are you willing to go. I have some contacts that can tell me in depth information regarding surgeons and doctor reputations.

Well you should choose one with a Trauma Center. My children were born at Christ in Oak Lawn and that is where we would go otherwise when we lived there. Beware of McNeal.

I agree with the previous member....avoid MacNeal at all costs. They are a large group with hospitals and clinics, but they are notorious for poor quality health care practices.

We're looking at homes in the area of Tinley Park, don't want to drive more than 30min if possible.

I would def. say Palos Hosp in Palos Heights. I know many people that either work there or have worked there and have heard the pay is very competitive, bens are really good, and there is always a string of sick people going in there to get better and many of them do! SO... you have great job security there. Dr's there are really good too, and the hosp. is very clean. It is located off 123rd and 80th Ave. I have been in there many times myself and have always had great luck in there. I hope this helps.

I agree - Palos Community Hospital is really well-regarded.

Palos is a private hospital ull be stuck in med surge for years go to christ more pto and u can get in any department

Central DuPage Hospital in Winfield is phenomonal, give it a shot. They just did a massive overhaul on the hospital and a bunch of new additions, its a great place to work/be treated at. Delnor Community in Geneva is also wonderful.
