Well, I live right near 355 and Butterfield so...its unincorporated Lombard.

Also, if you live near brandywine townhone association in villa park, you would be able to commute to the loop in under 30 minutes

That doesn't sound possible from either location unless you do it between 8pm and 5 am or on the weekend.

Yes I would. Wheaton is a very nice town. You can easily get a good house for the price range you mention. Wheaton is a nicer town than Lombard. You can't really get into the city in 30 minutes though it will take a little longer. Still it has good routes of transportation. If you plan on driving into the city a lot I'd stick to south Wheaton as its easier to get on I-88.

Just google mapped Lombard to 101 Wacker right now (10:45 pm) and it's 22 miles and 33 minutes. You actually think anyone believes that the drive during rush over is less than what it is with zero traffic late on a weeknight?!

You don't need to bump up your price to 600K. You can et a decent house in Wheaton for 400K. 600K is more than enough. 500K if you want to be within walking distance to the metra.
