A lot of minorities (especially Blacks) are harassed when they move into predominantly White neighborhoods especially if those neighborhoods are more working to middle class and populated by residents whom partook in White flight.

That's not the North Shore.

Not very noteworthy compared to other districts you may be looking at. However, Avoca 37 (feeds into New Trier) has one elementary school and one middle school with a combined Asian population of around 25%. As far as the number of Indian families in the district, I cannot speak for that but Avoca is an excellent district with much more ethnic (and likely economic) diversity compared to other districts that feed into New Trier.

GBN is also quite a good school. A larger Asian population (15%) than NT (5%), but not as large as Stavenson's (22%). Overall, I think you will be welcome in any of these North Shore communities, but some may lack in the type of diversity you are seeking. Best of luck to you and your family in your search!
I grew up in Wilmette, and I guess was kind of vaguely aware that Wilmette was slightly more diverse than the other NT towns, but I just looked up the demographics, and whoa, it's pretty starkly the only town with any diversity at all that feeds into NT. For example, Wilmette is 85% white and ~11% Asian. Kennilworth is 97% and ~1% Asian. Winnetka and Glencoe are ~3% Asian.
