No contest. Wife and I decided to try the move from Colorado to the Burbs last December. Oops. Took our stuff back Wednesday. Had no idea how much we'd miss the mountains, fly fishing, kayaking, skiing, THE WEATHER, etc. Thanks for the experience Chicago, you've validated our love for Colorado.

I can understand the inability to adapt to your new surroundings. Chicago is a wonderful place with culture and convenience, but IMO outdoor living is not the best. We are working to relocate to Northern California because we love the foothills, the active lifestyle and quite frankly we are tired of all the snow.

It's great to try something new. Just as you have found if it doesn't work you can always move back. Good luck to you.

Question Dramatic exit????

Geesh, didn't know you were so sensitive. I was simply saying bye, we tried and Chicago's not for us. Maybe you ought to try an anger management group or something. Better yet, try Colorado. Much less grinding on the nerves than here.

You were here for a few short months and during the worst winter on record. I dont see how its remotely possible that you explored the area much or did much of anything other than whine and pine about home.

Anyways, good luck on your move back to CO, sorry IL didnt work out for you. I just think you shouldve stuck around longer and enjoyed spring, summer and fall and all that Chicago and its hundreds of burbs have to offer.
