Hello,

I currently live in Atlanta and hope to transfer to Rolling Meadows next Summer. I've never been there and I'm looking for some information about the city and surrounding cities. I looked online and saw Williamsburg Townhomes and Apartments in Rolling Meadows. It looks nice online. Has anyone lived there or do you know anything about it and the surrounding area? If you were to work in Rolling Meadows, what are the closest/safest/nicest areas you would live in (if not Rolling Meadows)? I will likely be separated and with a small child at the time of the move.

Any information you can provide would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you,
Lia

My wife and I have lived in Rolling Meadows for 8 years. We are raising three kids and we are very happy here. There are a couple pockets of less desirable apartment buildings. Very good community, schools and people. Its probably cheaper in Schaumburg just to the south, again, there are some area's that you would want to avoid but overall the northwest suburbs of Chicago are a great place to live.

I have lived here most of my life and I'm in my 50's..........There is housing in downtown Rolling Meadows, which is where you'd like to be... you can walk to stores, schools, library, pool, sled Hill, Ice rink, Parks / pond or take the bus to Woodfeild or randhurst or to Harper Jr College or conect to other buses..... there are lot's of condos in downtown.....from $300,000 to $130,000......
they're building some more apartments/ condo's in downtown not sure what the rent will be...

Look for a place to live west of IL-53 and you should fine yourself in a nice area. Nearby Schaumburg is considered one of "desirable" towns. But this part of Rolling Meadows is no different, though you'll pay a little less for housing.
