I think Berwyn has a lot going for it as far as proximity to the city, Oak Park, Forest Park, North Riverside mall etc. and it’s got some spectacular bungalows for very reasonable prices. If you can navigate the school situation, or find some affordable private school options, it would seem like a good option for a young family.

As far as “Berwyn becoming more and more Mexican”... regardless of whether it is or is not, so what? If someone were so concerned to raise their family around people of different color , ethnicity or culture, perhaps they should stick to farther out suburb that’s 90+% white, then they can feel comfortable in their little racial/cultural bubble.
