We had built our home which was built by Kennedy homes- Thankfully, it was before this but I am shocked! They have all those yellow signs out every where and bascially, folks could loose their down payments? I'd seek an attorney asap... How did I have missed this info? I tried to look up their website and it says under construction... Yes, I bet... Sorry Folks, my heart goes out to you all! As much time and energy it took us with the entire process- Not good. You would think by law that they have to return your money back.

Default Kennedy Homes

If you were having a house built, and were stiffed out of money it is time to go after Kennedy! We were given a settlement! Kennedy's property was forclosed on, so they legally broke their contract. We filed suit and they settled. It was not all of our money, but at least it was something. It is officially over for us. We can move on with our life. Best of luck to all of you.

We actually were building with them and they went under. Does anyone know what we have to do to get our earnest money back?
