Default Relocation to A. A. Stagg H.S.

I will be moving to the Palos Hills area this August from out of state. It is a complex story but my daughter must attend Stagg HS. While I have reviewed the boundry lines for Stagg I am not familiar with the area. I am now a single mom and will need to rent a condo or home. I also have an elementary age son. My 4th grade son has learning disabilities so an elementary school with that need in mind would be helpful. I would like to live in a nice area, but do have a limited rental budget. Need 3 bedrooms and would like to keep the rent under $1500.00 if possible. Thanks!

Any where in Palos Hills or Worth would be a good choice. Also most of Hickory Hills, though I've seen a number of robberies up by 87th St. in the police blotter. I wouldn't call it dangerous by any means, but it does seem to be the one area in town where such things happen. I would avoid Bridgeview, the portion of town that's in Stagg's district isn't too attractive.

Default lived in Palos Hills for on and off for over 30 years!

Hi:
I just want to say that I have lived in Palos Hills on and off for over 30 years!
I bought my first home there when I was 26 years old and it was still a growning town. When my daughter was 6 I got divorced. We sold our house and I bought a townhouse right off 111th street near Stagg High School. So, I too was a single mom for awhile. My daughter went to elementary & junior high school and loved it! I remarried and moved to Orland Park for about 8 years and hated it! So, we sold our house and moved back! Palos Hills is a mature suburb now with very little building going on. It is not congested with alot of traffic but is very accessible to the major highways (294 and the Stevenson expressway). House values have remained good and the crime rate low. I am sure you will love it there!! Good luck
