I went to Horwath's when I heard it was closing. Glad that I got to to. If you guys plan an Armand's outing, let me know! I live a mile from there and haven't been there in ages!

I'll be at Armand's within the month. See you there.

Joey was found in an alley off of 74th and Fullerton- about 2 and a half blocks from Armands. He rarely frequented this place-in fact he both lived and hung near Grand/Damen.

Yeah that is right by the post office.
abc7chicago.com: Joey Lombardo captured in Elmwood Park 1/14/06
"...Nine months ago, he went into hiding to avoid arrest, but Friday night, the 77-year-old reputed mafia boss was caught in the passenger seat of a parked car in an Elmwood Park alley...
...The F.B.I. says they had this particular spider hole in the 2300 block of North 74th Avenue under surveillance for some time... "

What gangs in Berwyn? I grew up there and in Dist 100/201 in the 90's, here are the ones I dealt with daily:
Latin Kings
Bishops
26
22 Boys
12th St Players
MLDs
LMBs
Ambrose (they were just starting to come in)
Latin Counts
Noble Knights

Although I will be the first to acknowledge that there are gangs in Berwyn, as well as many other suburbs, I browsed this web site above and have many doubts. Where do they get some of this info? In some towns such as Maywood and Cicero, they list the actual street corners which makes the info. more believable. But towns such as Park Ridge and Wheaton with gangs. I tend to doubt it. And being that I have lived in Elmwood Park for 31 years and am currrently employed in law enforcement, I seem to doubt these gangs listed in Elmwood Park. Does anyone have any further info. about gangs in Elmwood Park? Or is a little graffiti on a garage all that they have for proof.

I also feel that this web site can scare many residents, so I really would like to know what is the source of info. If a gangmember lives in a town, that does not always mean that the gang hangs or conducts there work in that same town. In fact, I am aware of MLDs and a Latin King that resides in Elmwood Park- but they state that they moved here to get away from gang activity and provide a better life for their babies. So this website is very troublesome to me.

Agreed. I've also doubted the accuracy of this site, mainly because their methods of data collection are not stated. What if some wannabes spray paint a crown on a garage door? Does your neighborhood suddenly have Latin Kings? The site doesn't say.
And nice change of tune for you . Are you going to be this nice to Berwyn after the election or is this just a temporary thing?

Berwyn is a town that has great appeal with its older, well built homes-especially known for its bungalows. I have many great friends from Berwyn, some that still live there. Unfortunately, most of the ones that moved was due to the schooling issue. So, hopefully Berwyn can figure a way to improve this and hopefully that section 8 trash stops renting in Berwyn.
