Best way to find a roommate???
I am moving to Schaumburg in June and will need a roommate for my apartment, I only know a few people in the area. So what is the best way to find a roommate in that area??

REPLY: Check the local Schuamburg Paper(s) and the Sunday Chicago Tribune Newspaper. In addition, contact Apartment Finding companies for the Schuamburg area and they might now of others looking for a roomate. Go to the Bulletin Boards located at large Food Stores like Dominicks and Jewel as ive often seen 3x5" cards with people looking for a roomate. Check Craigslist.com for people advertising for a roomate. Lastly, run your own newspaper ad looking for a Roomate being specific on the type of person youre looking for ... and when you find someone, draw up a little written contract that you both sign so youre both clear on who is responsible for what as far as one another goes (otherwise youll be appearing on the Judge Judy TV Show down the road !). Hope that will get you going in the right direction.

Put an ad in the Chicago Reader also.
Sadly there is no real easy way to find a roommate.
