I remember Wampum well! Horseshoes and kegs! Yep it was cool until the bikers shot the place all up. Remember that one? Also remember Adrian's and Jeorgenson's woods as well. I go past Wampum from time to time and it is quiet and well maintained.

Thanks for all the replies regarding Wampum Lake, Jorgensens(?) and how about Sweet Woods? It was a great time out there back in the day!!!!! Beautiful place to just chill, party and listen to some GOOD music. Aaaahhhhhh!!!!

Great times!!!!
Wonder if we know each other from back then. When did you hang out there???
I went to a private school down the road-Illiana Christian. Years were from 1975 thru 1982. Then I moved away from the area. Haven't been back since but sure had one heck of a great time there.

Those were the days, my friend.......

Yeah I remember Wampum and Sweet Woods, and the drive-in on Indianapolis Blvd, we brought lawnchairs and I still itch from that slimely lagoon I swear, the pavement was all ripped up in Sweet Woods cause of so many problems wasnt it, I hung out there till May '74 when I got kicked out of parochial school and shipped off to live with my dad that summer.

Back in the day of hitchhiking and seeing how many people will fit in the car heading out to Wampum or Jurgensen Woods! Wampum was great, but I'm glad those days are in the past!(mid-late 70's)

wow, the memories! I grew up in Glenwood and spent quite a bit of time roaming throughout the forest preserves in that area. No one would believe the things that went on at Wampum back in the 70's.
